It is getting exciting preparing for the release of No More Monuments as performed by the Rock 'N Rebels. The song is getting attention and it is still in the demo stage. Some radio stations have already committed to playing the song and adding it to their playlist which is a big break in today's difficult market where so many radio stations are controlled by one station/owner. Playlists are no longer set by the disc jockey's at the local level as times past but set by the mother station and the marketing managers. Individual gut feelings and sense of public likes are no longer considered. Unfortunately, getting a station to add your independent song to a playlist is a daunting task. No More Monuments is a song that deserves to be heard by the public because of its powerful lyrics and message and very simple chord structure and melody that make it easy to remember. Tommy Troville has the voice and emotion for this song and does a fabulous job on portraying the intent of the songwriters for a contemporary market of young people. The band itself is very talented and has patient, experienced musicians who take it one day at a time and are not putting unreasonable expectations on the project. Backed up by future original tunes, this song and the band will be propelled to national recognition this year. Stay tuned.
